At the 3rd YOUtility Lunch of the Utility Platform on 3rd of November, Anke Verheij from Water WorX, presented the Dutch Water Operators Programme (WOPs) programme to members of the Utility Platform.

The WaterWorX programme at VEI is a long term programme (2017-2030) that brings together all 10 Dutch water utilities and 40 water operators in different countries to provide people with sustainable access to clean drinking water and/or sanitation services.

Anke Verheij shared results and best practices and discussed with participants challenges of impact monitoring and capacity building, and the crucial topic of how to mobilise funding for local infrastructure investments.

YOUtiility lunch participants were intrigued about the WaterWorX WOP between Ghana Water Company and VEI that uses drones to help detect water losses.
